I received a "Server Error" message.

What is a "Server Error" message?

A server error message occurs when the WPDSA Online program computer (server) is unable to communicate properly with the device you are using to run the WPDSA Online program.

Why did I receive a "Server Error" message?

You received a server error message because the device you were using to run the WPDSA Online program was unable to communicate with the computer (server) the WPDSA Online program is stored on.

What causes my device to receive a "Server Error" message?

You will receive a "Server Error" message when:

1.  You did not log onto the WPDSA Online program properly from the main web site of www.wpdsastudents.org to ensure that you are using the most current version of the WPDSA Online program.

2.  You accessed another web page on the device while the WPDSA Online program was running.

3.  You accessed another program on the device while the WPDSA Online program was running.

4.  You lost internet connection on the device while the WPDSA Online program was running.

5.  You took too long to complete the unit.

6.  You clicked on the browser back or refresh button while the WPDSA Online program was running on your device.

7.  The device you are using is receiving notifications.  It is recommended that you turn off the notifications while using the WPDSA Online program.

When one of the above listed things occurs, the unit timer will stop and/or reset back to zero minutes.

Each unit has a timer.  When that timer reaches between 30 to 36 minutes, the system then tells the unit to refresh and for the "Completed" button to appear at the bottom of the unit page.  When one of the above listed occurs, the unit timer will either stop or reset.  When the unit timer stops, the WPSDA Online program is no longer able to communicate with the server resulting in the "Completed" button not appearing or showing a "Sever Error" message.

Once you receive a "Server Error" message, the program is no longer able to register the unit as completed and the student is required to start the unit over.

If you receive a "Sever Error" message, you will need to log out of the program and then log in and start the unit over.
